What is Liftoff Academy?

Liftoff Academy is a non-profit alliance, empowering Bastrop County youth to rise through a robust after-school scholarship program, improving the health and well-being of our future generations. Awardees receive full or partial awards that cover their class fees, plus many additional benefits.

Program Year/Schedule

Academy activities run from July through November annually, with an amazing overlap of graduates and new joiners every Fall.

Our Core Deliverables

1) Youth Scholarship & Rideshare

12 BISD &/or Non-Profit Charter elementary and middle school scholarships to attend Aerial Arts & Acrobatic classes. Also includes an offer of transportation, healthy meals, and free workout clothes.

2) Teen Scholarship & Advancement

4 BISD &/or Non-Profit Charter high school scholarships to attend Aerial, Wellness, and Conditioning classes. Also requires completion of our leadership track, where "the path to leadership begins on the mat."

3) Quarterly Community Career & Wellness Speaker Panels

Free education for both our students and the entire Bastrop area community on mental well-being topics, plus connection with business and career experts.

4) Capstone Performing Arts Theatre Show: Next Show, Fall 2026

Combining aerial arts, circus, and theatre, we put on a show unlike any other. This free event utilizes our scholarships/interns through performance and/or stage production; brings in pro global talent; and attracts attendees from all over the country.
